Luke Steele back in goal, nearly gave the Reds a point despite the home side being in command at home, in th end they came out narrow victors, but Steele kept the scoreline down with an energetic display having been sidelined for several months.

Sone Aluko got the only goal of the game as the Barnsley defence failed to clear our lines, and Aluko fired in a low shot which was his fifth goal of the season. The win was deserved by Hull City, with four wins out of five games in contrast to the Reds' ailing form as we dropped to 20th in the division.
Robert Koren looked to extend the lead but his effort was parried by Steele in goal, who was then called into action and kept out Evans with another stunning stop.
The Tykes best chance fell to debutant from Liverpool, Toni Silva, but the winger failed to keep his shot on target. Things aren't looking so rosey now under Keith Hill, and perhaps he might have to start concentrating on what he's got instead of whinging about his tools.
At this stage he's doing worse than any of the previous managers on the same budget.. I would say he was working wonders on the limited budget he so often harps on about if we were mid-table and on the fringes of the play offs - we're not Keith.
